Speaking Engagements
Nancy Davison is committed to providing education to the local and national community for a holistic, integrated approach to health, wellness and minimizing the effects of aging. Nancy is available to speak at community networking groups, corporate health and wellness events, workshops, and conferences.
Topics include:
Back ‘n Motion
Over 31 million Americans experience back pain at any given time. Nancy will discuss back and leg pain offering simple techniques to manage your back pain. She will teach you how to incorporate these gentle movements, which include Qi Gong, into your everyday life. She includes discussion, active participation and a DVD for purchase.
New Ageless Thinking
These presentations can be tailored to any group from young to elderly. The topic can be general or specific and a primary focus of all talks is some serious myth busting about aging. With so many seniors being added to our numbers every year these presentations are quite popular. See the Page of this title to see more details.
Stress
Do you find that external stressors are your body? Chronic stress can lead to a whole host of physical illnesses. In this workshop, Nancy will discuss the relationship between stress and pain, or other physical symptoms. She will introduce a variety of approaches to managing stress and identifying ways to detach from stressful situations. Includes discussion and active participation.
Qigong
Have you heard of Qigong, but not had the opportunity to learn these gentle body movement techniques? In this workshop, Nancy provides the opportunity to experience Qigong sitting or standing. This seminar can be a brief introduction or a full-day workshop. Participants will learn one of several forms- 5 Treasures, Yin Yang, Swimming Dragon, Eight Pieces of Silk, and more.
Five Elements
In this lively discussion of the five elements in Traditional Acupuncture, Nancy brings to life the identifying characteristics of each element including symptoms, mental or emotional reactions, and spiritual connections. Participants will explore how these five elements relate to each other, and their meridian correlations. While this discussion can be brief, the recommended format is a 2+ hour workshop.
